Frequently Asked Questions
Solar panels in Forfar & Kirriemuir — your questions
- Do you install solar panels in Forfar and Kirriemuir?
- Yes. We cover all DD8 postcodes. Our MCS-certified installer partner surveys your roof and provides a written no-obligation quote. Rural DD8 properties often have excellent solar potential due to open surroundings.
- Can solar panels replace oil heating in a DD8 rural home?
- Solar panels reduce your electricity bills, and when paired with an air source heat pump they can replace oil or LPG boilers entirely. We install heat pumps through MCS-certified partners who carry out a full heat loss survey.
- Is battery storage worth it for a Forfar home?
- Yes. Rural DD8 homes may experience more power interruptions, and a battery provides backup as well as storing surplus solar generation. A battery also lets you charge on cheaper overnight electricity for daytime use.
